Sponsor Burger King has announced dates for the second running of the BK Big Fish fishing tournament, a three day event with over $55,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs. The contest will take place March 22-24.

The tournament is partnering with the YMCA of the Cayman Islands to raise funds for the charitable organization.

Registration for the tournament will take place on the evening of March 20 at the Barcadere/George Town Yacht Club, and at Captain’s Table on the Brac.

A free two-day fishing clinic will be held in conjunction with the tournament, organized by the International Game Fish Association and supported by the Cayman Islands Angling Club, the Department of Environment and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation. The clinic aims to educate youths on conservation, as well as the basics of fishing including basic tackle description, knot tying, fish handling, dehooking, fishing safety and environmental stewardship. The camp will conclude with a family fishing derby.
