Anti-Corruption Commission investigators, supported by officers from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, arrested a 31-year-old man Wednesday in connection with an ongoing investigation.

The investigators arrested the man, whom they described as a public officer who lives in the Prospect area, on suspicion of bribery of a public officer, fraud on the government and breach of trust by a public officer.

The Anti-Corruption Commission, in a brief statement, said the man was initially detained for questioning. No charges had been laid by press time.
