Story reading at Bodden Town library

Story Time at the library will feature a variety of stories, colouring activities and special treats.

Summer Story Time with Victor Valencia kicks off at the Bodden Town library this month, featuring amazing stories and extraordinary characters, colouring activities and special treats.

The summer programme is put on by the Library Service to help improve children’s literacy and learning skills through activities, entertainment and incentives throughout the summer school break.

The storytelling at the Bodden Town Library takes place every Saturday from 20 July to 31 Aug. from 10am, and runs for 45 minutes.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring along their children from ages 0 to 5 years.

Library Service Deputy Director Kevin Goring said it’s fun for the whole family,

The library’s Summer Reading programme gives children and their families fun ways to incorporate reading and learning activities into summer family time. “It’s a fun time for children to learn fun stories and learn about new characters,” Goring said.

He also said the library is seeking to expand on its literacy programme to all districts.

The reading adventure is free and open to the public.
