Olivia Ziemniak and Leah Alberga each earned double wins at the National Jumping Series Show earlier this month. Ziemniak and Alberga wowed the crowd at the Cayman Islands Equestrian Centre by riding double-clear rounds in each of their respective classes in the third and final National Jumping Series horse show of the season, stated a press release.

Ziemniak won the .60 metre and .70 metre classes on Teddy, a riding school pony owned by the Equestrian Centre. Alberga won the .80 metre and .90 metre classes on her own Cayman-bred pony, Moon Lady.

The day also saw several entrants in the beginner cross rails and .50 metre class which is not part of the National Jumping Series, Many of these riders are expected to graduate to compete in the jumping series next year.

Now that the National Jumping Series has wrapped up, the Cayman Islands Equestrian Federation will be starting its National Dressage Series with the first show set for 9 Feb. at the Equestrian Centre, beginning at 8am. Valerie Swygert will be flying in from Lexington, South Carolina, to judge the show.
