KPMG beat MUFG in straight sets in the finals of the Cayman Islands Corporate Volleyball league to finish out undefeated.
In the first set, KPMG’s Mandi Mermelstein and Davison Ruwende came out swinging and, despite several digs from MUFG’s Jon Eliver along with blocks from Jozef Vogel, it still wasn’t enough, with KPMG taking the first set 25-14.
Early in the second set, the teams kept the game close, with MUFG going ahead 8-7 following a strike from Deandre Simpson. But that proved short lived, as a run of missed serves put KPMG out in front. Four big kills from Kenny Raotraot sealed the game – and the match – for KPMG, who won 25-16.
