Chamber webinar to focus on succession planning

The Chamber of Commerce will host its fifth free webinar to help businesses navigate the current coronavirus health and economic crisis, on Wednesday, 29 April, from 9am to 10:30am.

Legal experts will explore wills, and estate and succession planning in a COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 world, stated a press release.

The webinar targets businesses and individuals in Cayman facing uncertainties about their assets as a result of the pandemic, and will include a range of lifetime planning options available to them.

The webinar is open to all businesses – Chamber members and non-members – and will be facilitated by a team of lawyers from HSM.

The legal experts will highlight the importance of implementing or updating estate plans and offer advice on the options for doing so. The meeting will also focus on the role of the living will in estate and succession planning.

Chamber CEO Wil Pineau said, “While many businesses and individuals tend to shy away from the subject of succession planning, especially as this relates to making a will, the Chamber is encouraging everyone to take these necessary steps, to ensure that they, their assets and their family are protected in the present, and that this protection will also be enjoyed by future generations.”

All those wishing to attend the 29 April webinar are required to pre-register using the link below, where they will be provided with the technical instructions they will need.
