Jana Schreuder new chair of Butterfield Cayman board

Butterfield announced that Jana Schreuder, who serves on the board of directors, has also been appointed non-executive chair of the board of Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited.

Schreuder’s appointment became effective on 5 Oct, following approval by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).

“Jana is an experienced banker and corporate director who has served in a number of executive leadership roles,” said Butterfield Group Chairman and CEO Michael Collins in a press release.

“Having joined our Board in 2020, Jana’s insights will be invaluable to the Cayman business as we continue to pursue sustainable long-term growth while maintaining a strong capital and liquidity profile.”

She joined the Butterfield Group Board in August 2020 and most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Northern Trust Corporation, a role from which she retired in 2018.

She currently serves as a director and chair of the Compensation Committee of Blucora, Inc., and has served as a director and chair of the Compensation Committee for Entrust Datacard Group since 2008. Previously, Schreuder was a member of the Board of Directors of LifePoint Health.

A member of the Governance and Membership Committee and New York Chapter of Women Corporate Directors, Schreuder is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors from which she has received the NACD Directorship Certification.

KPMG launches ESG solutions programme

KPMG said it plans to spend more than US$1.5 billion over the next three years on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues and supporting clients in making a positive difference.

The investment will focus on training and expanding KPMG’s global workforce, harnessing data, accelerating the development of new technologies, and driving action through partnerships, alliances and advocacy, the advisory firm said.

KPMG also made several ESG commitments in a new impact plan, aiming to embed ESG in the organisation and client solutions, to drive measurable change.

Jennifer Skinner joins Deloitte’s Cayman partnership team

Deloitte has promoted Jennifer Skinner to partner in the Cayman Islands practice.

Skinner has over 17 years of global experience in the field of Human Resources (HR) in the Cayman Islands and in Canada. She is the regional HR Leader for Deloitte in the Caribbean and Bermuda Countries, and a subject matter expert within the Human Capital Consulting practice.

She is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and a Certified Return on Investment Professional (CRP).
