Police are asking for the public’s help to locate Charles Leonard Walton III, who is wanted for firearms-related offences.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, 20 Oct., a spokesperson for the RCIPS warned that Walton is known to be “aggressive”.
“He is believed to be armed and dangerous and police are advising the public that Mr Walton should not be approached by members of the public, but instead to immediately call 9-1-1 upon sighting him,” read the statement.
Police say Walton, 24, was last known to be living in Prospect.
“The public is being reminded that according to the Police Act (2021 Revision), it is an offense to obstruct, mislead or act in such a way as to prevent the apprehension of a person who has committed an offense,” police warned. “If prosecuted under this section, you may be liable on conviction to a fine of $5,000 or imprisonment for two years or both.”
