Amanda Bodden to head Butterfield Cayman retail banking

Amanda Bodden, Butterfield Bank

Butterfield Bank announced that Amanda Bodden has been promoted to the new role of Senior Vice President, Head of Retail and Operations, Cayman.

Bodden joined Butterfield in 2004 as a customer service representative. She has held several senior positions over the last 17 years becoming Head of Personal Lending in 2019.

In her new role, Bodden will continue to oversee personal lending, in addition to having responsibility for all branch activities and operations in Cayman.

She holds a masters degree in Management from the University of Liverpool, which she achieved in 2020 while working with the support of Butterfield.

Leadership Cayman application deadline Friday

Leadership Cayman, a programme of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce, held its annual alumni reception at the Grand Old House last week to welcome the 2021 class and provided information for anyone wishing to apply for one of 24 seats in the 2022 class.

Launched by the Chamber in 2010, Leadership Cayman is a six-month experience that provides leaders in our community with an opportunity to hone their leadership skills, network with other leaders across industry sectors and gain an in depth understanding of all aspects of the Cayman Islands society.

Caymanians and legal residents 25 years or older who have attained a middle management position and have resided in the Cayman Islands at least one year are encouraged to apply. Once accepted, the 2022 class will attend a welcome reception, opening retreat and bi-weekly seminars on a range of topics addressing social, political, and economic issues. Some of Cayman’s top leaders in the public and private sectors are invited to address the class each year.

Harneys welcomes new Cayman articled clerk

Allison Gonsalves has joined the articled clerk programme of Harneys.

Gonsalves is a STEP qualified Trust & Estate Practitioner with more than 20 years of onshore and offshore experience in the international high net worth financial services space.

She obtained her graduate diploma in Law from BPP Law School in the UK and completed her Professional Practice Course at the Truman Bodden Law School.

The articled clerk programme allows those training to undertake seats within the Litigation & Insolvency, Banking & Corporate, Investment Funds and Private Wealth practice groups at Harneys.
