George Town mother-of-two Dawn Bodden is $100,000 richer, as she walked away with the grand prize on Monday in government’s vaccination campaign, in partnership with local company DMS.
Tourism Minister Kenneth Bryan announced Bodden as the grand prize winner at a short live broadcast on CIGTV.
Bodden said she was “blown away” when she heard her name called as the winner.
“I was brought here as a finalist, so that was a well-kept secret,” she said.
“I have no idea,” was Bodden’s initial response after being asked what she plans to do with her winnings.
However, after the initial shock wore off, Bodden said she intends to use some of her money to help others and “bank” the rest.
Bryan congratulated Bodden, adding that she “did the right thing” by getting vaccinated.
Premier Wayne Panton, and DMS representative Adrienne Politowicz, were also on hand for the announcement.
Politowicz said the winner was randomly generated by a computer after verification by the Health Services Authority and DMS in accordance with the guidelines.
