Police have charged a Cayman Brac resident over a contentious social media post in which threats were made against government officials.
The 63-year-old man is facing charges of dangerous transmission, and use of an ICT Service to Defraud, Abuse, Annoy, Threaten or Harass.
The man has been bailed to appear in court on 16 Dec.
Police said on Wednesday, 10 Nov., they arrested the man after the video was posted on social media, in which he made threats against government officials and members of the uniformed services.
The Cayman Compass typically withholds the name of individuals until they make their appearance in court to face their charges.
