Police say an investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found in George Town earlier today, prompting officers to shut down a section of Eastern Avenue.
While police have not released the identity of the man, sources have confirmed to the Compass that he is David Bodden, 52, of George Town, who had been missing for several days.
In a brief statement issued Friday, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said officers remained on the scene, at the junction of Eastern Avenue and Watler’s Drive, even though the roadway has been reopened.
“Eastern Avenue was temporarily closed between West Bay Road and Bodden Road as the scene was processed; however both lanes have now been reopened to traffic,” read the statement.
