Resh Hour: Bryan outlines way forward for cruise tourism

Though Cayman is set to commence the second phase of the resumption of cruise tourism, it does not mean the return of passengers en masse, according to Tourism Minister Kenneth Bryan.

Speaking on the Cayman Compass Facebook talkshow ‘The Resh Hour’, Bryan said the Port Authority will manage the number of ships in port as the priority still remains ensuring the community is safe.

Under phase, 2 which starts Monday, 18 April, there will be no cap on cruise ships coming to the Cayman Islands and this will continue until the “Long-Term Cruise Tourism Strategy is completed, before the end of the year”, he said.
