The Cayman Islands men’s and women’s national rugby 7s teams departed from the Owen Roberts International Airport on Thursday, 21 April, for Nassau, Bahamas, to compete at the Rugby Americas North Sevens Qualifiers.
The local squads will play on 23 and 24 April.
The women’s team will face off against Mexico, Canada, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Dominican Republic, the only squads participating in the tournament.
The men will compete in Pool C, against Bahamas, Mexico, and Turks and Caicos Islands.
The RAN Sevens serves as a qualifier for the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 and the Commonwealth Games 2022.
