A 30 year-old man employed by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service has been arrested, police said on Thursday.
The man is said to have a “civilian support role” in the police.
During a search of his home, police recovered a firearm and ammunition.
A woman, who was also at the residence, was detained along with the man.
They’re being held at the Cayman Islands Detention Centre as investigations continue.
