The driver of the car that crashed killing 20-year-old Aleiny Revé Villegas has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The 39-year-old woman from George Town was arrested on Wednesday, according to a police press release.
It comes after family members paid tribute to their “energetic and happy” relative, who was killed when the car she was in crashed on Eastern Avenue, near Shedden Road on Monday.
Two additional passengers were also injured in the crash.
Police said one has now been discharged from hospital and the other remains in hospital with “serious but non-life threatening injuries”.
