Update, 10pm: The Esterley Tibbetts Highway has been reopened after police and Fire Services cleared the road following Wednesday night’s collision.
Police said four people had been taken to hospital by ambulance with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision is being investigated by police.
Original story: A section of the Esterley Tibbetts Highway has been closed tonight, 17 Aug., following a two-car collision.
The north-bound road, towards West Bay, between Cost U Less and the roundabout at Public Beach is currently closed, as of 8:15pm, and traffic is being diverted along Pennsylvania Avenue.
The Compass understands that several people were transported to hospital following the collision. It is not known if they suffered serious injuries.
