Customs and Border Control has extradited Oraine Anthony Duncan to the United States where he is wanted on sexual assault charges against a minor.

Duncan, 39, was removed from Cayman on 14 Oct., some nine days after he willingly agreed to be extradited during a Summary Court hearing.

Duncan, who is originally from Jamaica, had been residing in Cayman where he worked as a chef at a restaurant along George Town’s waterfront.

He is wanted by the state of Connecticut on a charge of sexual assault in the first degree on a victim under the age of 16; conspiracy to commit sexual assault; risk of injury to a minor; and conspiracy to commit risk of injury to a minor.

Each count carries a maximum penalty upon conviction of 25 years imprisonment.

It is not clear when the alleged incidents occurred; however, the provisional warrant for his arrest was issued on 27 May this year by a Connecticut court.
