It is a well-known fact that many people & families are struggling financially this year, trying to maintain their dignity with many suffering in silence.
Nobody can foresee what is going to happen in the future, but what David Morritt from Morritt Properties Cayman has done, is help some of these families in the present.
With a $5,000 donation to the “Good Samaritan Cayman Food Bank” the money will be aimed at feeding families throughout the festive season.
There is a great shortage of donations on the island and Mr Morritt did not hesitate when asked for help, he has seen how food banks can aid people in their hour of need, and Christmas is no exception.
Everyone has been affected one way or another by the Pandemic or the crisis that has followed but slowly during 2022 there has been a positive change on the island.
Small businesses, shops, restaurants, transport companies and local suppliers have been able to overcome the difficulties faced during the “Covid era” and hopefully can now put that behind them and continue to help revitalise the island due to the steady flow of tourists that other countries & resorts can only dream about in such a short time.
This healthy influx of tourism is not only creating a good reputation for the Grand Cayman overseas but also supporting the local economy an area extremely important to David Morritt.
Dedication, a healthy balance of investment and strategic planning have been David Morritt’s main objectives for the last 34 years whilst continually creating and maintaining employment for over 130 families year-round at Morritt’s one of the biggest and most popular tourist resorts on the island.
Boasting a total of over 346,000 bed nights this year to the island, Morritt’s guests have come in their thousands. Families, friends & couples’ have all sampled the wonderful and welcoming atmosphere given by the locals during their stay and many will return or recommend the island.
Keeping up with trends, listening to guests, delivering high standards & a quality product are forecasted for 2023. Further exciting projects also include a major promotional campaign to increase the number of Canadian tourists to the Cayman Islands, spearheaded by the sales team from the latest addition to the company portfolio Chateau Morritt located in Quebec Canada. A physical marketing presence at major travel trade shows throughout Europe such as Fitur in Spain and the World travel Market in London is also planned & of course strengthening existent North American links will help to keep the Islands an option for potential travellers.
This really has been a fantastic year for Morritt Properties Cayman, the East End and the Cayman Islands in general and with a positive outlook for 2023, David Morritt is offering a promising future for anyone that wishes to join the Morritts brand.
You ain’t seen nothing yet… A well-known phrase used by all of us… But this really does resonate with David Morritt and the MPC group as he continues to grow stronger and deliver the promises he made to the Cayman Islanders all those years ago.
