CIMPA announces new board for 2023/2024

Following its annual general meeting, the Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association (CIMPA) has announced a new board to oversee the organisation’s operations for the next two years.
The board is chaired by Hollie Whitelocke, with vice chair Anne Kensington-Lott, secretary Catherine Mulder and treasurer Ben Meade.
The board also includes Susanne Palmer (training), Brita Gill (creative), Rebecca Young (communications), Anne-Marie Stephens (membership), Whitney Foster (community) and
Lené Swartz (events).
CIMPA’s first social event is on Wednesday, 15 Feb, at West Indies Wine Co from 5pm-7pm.
“I’m optimistic about the year ahead, as our board is buzzing with vibrant professionals who are ready to build on the success that has brought CIMPA so far. We look to regular engagement with current and prospective members to be in tune with how we can serve them better,” Whitelocke said in a press release.
“I get a feeling this year, members will get the opportunity to make the most of their membership. I look forward to seeing a wide mix of colleagues on the 15th, meeting up with familiar faces and hopefully some new ones, who can bring new perspectives to the organisation.”

CUC declares dividend
The board of directors of Caribbean Utilities Company has declared a dividend of US$0.175 per Class A Ordinary Share, or an annualised dividend of $0.70 per share.
The dividend will be payable on 15 March 2023 to shareholders of record on 1 March 2023.
Corporate and maritime expert joins Saffery Tryst
Saffery Trust (Cayman) Limited has appointed of Natasha Bunting as associate director, corporate and yachts.
Bunting joins from a Cayman company management firm and has more than two decades of experience in corporate management services. She specialises in providing domiciliary services for offshore companies and registration, and management services for ships, yachts and aircrafts.
Bunting serves as director of the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA Cayman Islands), a global organisation connecting female executives and decision-makers across all sectors of the maritime industry.
Her appointment follows the completion of Saffery Trust’s acquisition of Holdun Trust (Cayman) in January.
DCI closes for staff function on Friday at noon
The Department of Commerce and Investment has advised that its counter on the first floor of the Government Administration Building will be closed on Friday, 10 Feb. at noon to facilitate a staff function.
DCI will resume normal operating hours on Monday, 13 Feb.
