A burglar carrying a machete kicked down a door inside a home in East End, injuring the resident, before stealing cash and fleeing the scene.
Just after 1.30am on 9 Nov., police received a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Seaview Road, a press release said.
A man wearing a dirty white marina and shorts had trespassed onto a residential address, kicking down an interior door, which hit a resident, causing her minor injuries.
He was carrying a machete and demanded money from the occupants, the press release said.
He left the location on foot in an unknown direction with some cash.
Uniform and armed officers searched the surrounding area but could not find the man.
