It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We may not get the cold winter snow, but once the fresh nor’wester breezes begin, it’s the tell-tale sign that the holiday season has officially started.

Here’s a roundup of the best Christmas sights and sounds happening across the Cayman Islands to bring you and your loved ones joy and light this holiday season.

Camana Bay kicks off the holiday season with the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Market on Saturday, 18 Nov., 4-8pm. Performances include Cayman Music School, Centre Pointe Dance Studio, and Cayman Youth Choir.

Enjoy an evening of song, dance, drama at The Singing Christmas Tree two-night event on Saturday and Sunday, 18 and 19 Nov., at the Lions Centre in George Town. The free family event features a host of singers and musicians performing on a stage that includes an artificial 25-foot-tall Christmas Tree.

Girlguiding Cayman Islands hosts a Girlguiding annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Bazaar on Saturday, 25 Nov., in Loyola Hall and Courtyard, St Ignatius Catholic School, Walkers Road. Free admission.

The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman invites all to the 58th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, 27 Nov, at 6pm in Heroes Square, George Town.

Jasmine hosts Light Up a Life on Tuesday, 28 Nov., at 5:30pm, Camana Bay. Admission is free. With a $10 donation, you can remember your loved ones this holiday season by hanging a personalised ornamental star on Jasmine’s memorial tree.

Pink Ladies Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, 25 Nov., at 2-5pm, at the Arts and Recreation Centre, Camana Bay.

Centre Pointe Dance Studio presents Jingle All the Way on Sunday, 26 Nov., at Harquail Theatre. Tickets are $25 Adults, $10 children. Tickets are available at the studio.

The annual RBC What Women Want event, will take place on Friday, 1 Dec., at The Vault at the Compass Centre from 4-9pm. Admission is free.

Visual Arts Society hosts a Christmas craft market on Saturday, 2 Dec., from 10am to 5pm at the Paseo, Camana Bay.

Christmas Caroling on Saturday 2 Dec., 4:30-5:30pm at the Crescent, Camana Bay.

Dart’s Growing Communities programme is hosting Carols in Dart Park a Christmas activation next Saturday, 2 Dec., 5 to 6 p.m. in the Dart Park amphitheatre. This is a free event for the community, donations to Cayman Food Bank are encouraged. The Cayman Food Bank team will be on site to collect food, household supplies, vouchers and toys.

National Trust for the Cayman Islands will host a traditional Caboose Christmas breakfast on Saturday, 2 Dec., 8:30-10:30am at the Mission House, Gun Square Road, George Town. Meet Cayman Santa Claus at Camana Bay on 2 Dec. Have your photo taken with him for free from 2:30-4:30pm. There’s another chance to meet Santa on 9 Dec. from 9-11am.

The Cayman Turtle Centre hosts Breakfast with Santa on 2, 16, and 23 Dec., 8:30-10am. Attendees can enjoy games, treats, Christmas music, and Santa Claus himself. Admission US$38 per person.

Cayman Turtle Centre invites all to gather for a Wanderlust Brunch on Sunday, 10 Dec., 11:30am to 2:30pm at Schooner’s Bar and Grill, Cayman Turtle Centre. US$68 without alcohol, US$85 with bubbles or cocktail, US$38 kids under 13, free for children 2 and under.

Christmas at the Castle ‘A celebration under the stars’ takes place on Sunday, 10 Dec., 6-9pm at Pedro St. James, Savannah. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Meals on Wheels. Admission is free.

Sing along with the Cayman National Choir and the Cayman National Orchestra as the Elmslie Memorial Church hosts the annual Christmas Carol Concert on 12 and 14 Dec., 7:30-8:45pm. Admission is free and seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cayman Music School presents its Sing-along spectacular with Christmas and Disney songs, performed by your favourite characters. 13 and 14 Dec. at Harquail Theatre, starting at 6pm. Tickets are available on eventpro.ky.
