Rihanna, singer, actress, and beauty and fashion mogul, is launching her Fenty Beauty brand in the Caribbean this month, with Cayman listed as one of nine islands that will be carrying the line from 24 Oct.
The Caribbean launch is the latest addition to the global brand which promises, “beauty is for everyone”. The line features a wide selection of makeup, fragrance, skincare, haircare, and body care for all shades and skin types. Fenty Beauty launched in 2017 and now generates more than US$500 million a year in revenue.
Other countries in the Caribbean that will debut the line include the Bahamas, Antigua, Aruba, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and St. Maarten.
Rihanna, in announcing the launch across her social media on 1 Oct., said, “After all these years, I could not be more more excited to announce that Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin are finally going to be available across the Caribbean and in my home country Barbados.
“Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin were inspired by my own beauty needs and of course growing up in the Caribbean I know you will all find something that works for you,” she added.
In Cayman, Kirk Freeport will be the exclusive retailer for the brand.
“Bringing Fenty to the Cayman Islands was a natural choice for us,” Chris Kirkconnell, vice president of operations, Kirk Freeport, told the Cayman Compass.
“Rihanna’s approach to beauty aligns with our desire to offer our customers the most innovative and diverse brands. We’re excited to be part of this launch and to bring these exceptional products to Cayman.”
As part of the Cayman launch, Kirk Freeport announced a public party on Saturday, 26 Oct., from 4-7pm at their La Parfumerie II location on Cardinall Avenue.
In addition, there will be a prize draw to win a trip to Barbados for the Fenty Caribbean launch there on 7 Nov.
