The circus came to Cayman this weekend, and its mix of clowns and death-defying acrobatics enchanted audiences.
The Super American Circus has three shows on Saturday, with the lunchtime event the only one not sold out.
Owner/producer Tuffy Nicholas, a lifelong Big Top man, said he had been to Cayman on holiday decades ago and promised himself he would bring a circus to the country.
“I loved it here and I said one day I’ll bring the circus to Cayman. It took about 30 years, but we did it,” he said. “It’s been beautiful. They’re very nice people here and appreciate having us.”
There are three more performances at Compass Green on North Sound Road on Sunday before the performers pack up and head back to the U.S.
