Cayman sailor Dominic Davies, who was aboard a 100-foot yacht that set a new race record in the monohull division in 2022, had a busy schedule this year and looks to keep things sailing into early 2025.
Earlier this month, Davies was part of the victorious team on the yacht Scallywag at the prestigious Rolex Middle Sea Race – a gruelling 600-mile challenge.
He began his winning journey in Valletta, Malta, sailing around the island of Sicily, passing volcanoes Aetna and Stromboli, before finishing back at the historic fortress city of Valletta.
Prior to that, he was a part of the Leopard 3 crew that won the inaugural IMA Maxi 1 World Championship in Sardinia against some of the most impressive racing yachts on the water.
Next, Davies is set to join a team in 2025 that aims to break the West-East transatlantic record on a new foiling maxi yacht, Raven 111, measuring over 70 feet in length.
