The owner of a home in North Sound Estates arrived at his house to find the door ajar and two masked men inside wielding knives.
A release from the RCIPS stated that at around 12:30pm on Friday, 3 Jan., the man entered his home and, after spotting the knife-wielding intruders inside his property, ran out to his car with the two men chasing after him.
While attempting to escape, one of the masked men was struck by the victim’s vehicle, but it is not clear if he was injured. According to the release, both men ran away, heading south down Leeward Drive.
The police are now investigating what they are calling an aggravated burglary, and are seeking witnesses who may have seen the culprits, who are said to be around 5 feet 9 inches tall, of slim build and dark complexion. They were both wearing black clothing.
