In 1993 The Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman created maps of Cayman as one of their fundraisers where local companies paid to put their name or logo on the map and it ended up raising over $40,000 for the club! The club had a photo of Past President Roger Bodden presenting it to the Governor at the time so on the night Roger Bodden and Her Excellency Governor Jane Owen recreated this photo as Roger presented one of these maps to Her Excellency Governor Jane Owen with President Grant Davis looking on. Each attendee was also given a map to take home!
The night would not have been possible without the main sponsors, The Ministry of Education, CG Britcay and Cayman National Bank. Many donated their time or service including our fabulous host Vicki Wheaton, event planner Danielle Connolly of DLC events, The Flower Dell who provided the centerpieces, M Creations who did the decor and Lee’s Office sponsored the printing of the programmes.
