Two men aged 28 and 31 have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following a machete attack at a bar in Cayman Brac.
According to a statement released by police, officers were called to a bar on Watering Place Road in Cayman Brac shortly after 6:40pm on Saturday. It was reported that three men at the location had been involved in an altercation, during which one man was struck with a machete.
The victim was transported to the Faith Hospital by private vehicle. He was later transported to the George Town Hospital in Grand Cayman where he remains in stable condition.
The other two men, both residing in Cayman Brac, were arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. They have both been granted bail with conditions pending further investigation.
