The Chamber of Commerce is holding three Business After Hours networking events this month, with the first hosted by Beyond Basics Medical in George Town on Thursday, 8 May.
Around 100 guests attended the event at Beyond Basics Medical, which opened in 2007 in just two rooms at Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital, now Doctors Hospital. Since then, Beyond Basics has grown into a state-of-the-art facility at its location in the Tomlinson Building, offering a wide range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments.

Founder and proprietor Jacqui Tomlinson-Smith spoke about the clinic’s approach.
“Beyond Basics Medical has always been about enhancing lives through advanced, personalised care,” she said. “We’re proud to offer services that meet the diverse needs of our community.”
The clinic’s evolution includes the introduction of micropigmentation for breast-reconstruction patients, laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation and, more recently, branded body therapies like HydraFacial MD, Image Skincare, Emface, Emsculpt Neo and SkinPen Elite.
The Business After Hours attendees were able to experience several of Beyond Basics’ treatments including its new agua massage machine, an automated way of receiving a massage without human touch. A drawing was later held with prizes that consisted of gift certificates for either a dollar amount or specific treatments.
The next Business After Hours will take place at Doctors Hospital as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations on Thursday, 15 May, with the final event this month at Health City at Camana Bay Hospital on 29 May.
