Thank you for the opportunity to provide comments on the very sad loss to the island of one of its favourite sons.
We are so very sorry to have heard of Andrel’s disappearance. We admired how he handled the press conference interviews during the pandemic and when we thanked him a few years later when we saw him at an event, he was shy and polite and self-effacing.
He is a wonderful role model for young Caymanians and it has been heartwarming to see the community outpouring of sadness for him. As James Whittaker said so well in the paper, we only wish and hope that he knows.
