This year’s Miss Universe Cayman Islands contestants hit the road over the weekend across districts of Grand Cayman in the annual motorcade.

The four finalists – Tahiti Seymour of Bodden Town, Tiona Miller of North Side, Genesis Ryan of Bodden Town and Gileen MacDonald, of George Town – travelled in style in open-topped cars, with reigning Miss Universe Cayman Islands Raegan Rutty leading the motorcade on 19 July, which went from George Town to West Bay, then made its way to the eastern districts.

The stopped at several points along the route throughout the morning, meeting with family, friends and supporters, and taking photos.

“We then made our way to the heart of Bodden Town. We were warmly welcomed at Coewood Beach by the wonderful people of BT and treated to delicious local food,” Derri Lee, national director of the Miss Universe Cayman Islands organisation, told the Cayman Compass via WhatsApp.

“Next, we visited the breath-taking Crystal Caves in North Side, where we were given an unforgettable tour of one of Cayman’s natural treasures. A delightful lunch followed, adding to the experience.

“Our final stop was the East End Heritage Beach, where we were greeted by none other than the family of our reigning Queen, Raegan Rutty. Their warmth and hospitality were the perfect end to a beautiful day. It was truly an amazing experience, full of love, laughter, and community spirit,” Lee said.

The motorcade is just one of several activities planned for the contestants. The pageant finals will be held on Saturday, 9 Aug., at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa.
