The Help For Children (HFC) annual Cayman Islands gala fundraiser will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Friday, 14 Nov. at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
Dean Backer, HFC global board president, will be delivering the keynote address, with the evening also featuring a three-course dinner, plus a DJ, and live and silent auctions which will include a new Audi, jewellery from Kirk Freeport, premium wines and Champagne from Cayman Distributors and exclusive travel and vacation experiences.
Auctioneer Vicki Wheaton will lead the bidding.
Baron Jacob, HFC Cayman Islands Committee of Hearts chairperson, said, “We are honoured to have Dean Backer be our keynote speaker as we celebrate HFC Cayman’s platinum anniversary. Dean has been instrumental in advancing the prevention and treatment of child abuse through HFC around the world. The evening promises to be fun, memorable, and inspiring, while raising funds for critical charities that protect and heal children. We look forward welcoming Dean and all our guests on the evening.”
Net proceeds from the gala will benefit HFC grantee organisations whose programmes prevent and treat child abuse in the Cayman Islands.
The 2025 grantees are the Alex Panton Foundation, Cayman Islands Crisis Centre,
Cayman Islands Early Childhood Association, Cayman Islands Health Services Authority, Cayman Islands Red Cross, the CAYS Foundation, Department of Children and Family Services, NCVO, one2one and the YMCA of the Cayman Islands.
Since 2006, Help for Children Cayman has been aiding local charities to prevent and treat child abuse. The organisation has granted over CI$4.16 million and transformed the lives of nearly 28,000 children.
