A 54-year-old man from Bodden Town was killed late Sunday afternoon, 9 Nov., when what police described as a “piece of heavy duty equipment” fell on him.
Police said they received a 9-1-1 report of an industrial accident at a premises on Queens Highway, East End, shortly after 5pm.
“It was reported that three persons, including family members, had been carrying out repairs on a piece of heavy-duty equipment on an open lot on a private premises when the equipment fell on one of them,” the RCIPS said in a statement Monday.
Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was injured.

Police said the incident is under investigation.
