Miss World Cayman Islands (Girl Power Limited) hosted a special appreciation event on 22 Nov. to celebrate the achievements of its three international titleholders and to announce a major strategic shift for the organisation.

Due to ongoing resource challenges, the committee has made the difficult decision to
pause its involvement with both the Miss Supranational and Miss Teen Mundial franchises
to focus its efforts and resources on the Miss World franchise.

As a result of this strategic refocusing, Miss Supranational Cayman Islands, Tracey
Campbell, and Miss Teen Mundial Cayman Islands, Shiiannte Sterling, concluded their reigns when their contracts ended on 1 Dec.

Miss World Jada Ramoon continues reign

As the organisation consolidates its efforts to maximise the chance of winning on the
international stage, Miss World Cayman Islands Jada Ramoon remains the reigning titleholder and the primary focus of the committee’s upcoming activities.

The organisation proudly celebrates Ramoon or her outstanding achievements at the Miss World competition in India. She ranked among the top 20 in the Head-to-Head challenge and reached the top 24 in the Talent competition.

Celebrating Tracey Campbell

Tracey Campbell, the country’s representative at the 16th edition of Miss Supranational in
Poland, achieved a significant milestone by placing in the top six of the Suprachat challenge.

Director Ebanks-Small praised Tracey for her resilience, noting that she never let
disappointment stop her and served as an example of determination.

Reflecting on her tenure, Tracey said: “Pageantry taught me discipline. It taught me resilience. It taught me how to carry myself with grace, even when I felt overwhelmed. But most importantly it helped me grow into a woman who isn’t afraid to chase the things she sets her mind to. Walking onto that stage in Poland, with Cayman across my chest, I felt stronger than I ever have. I felt proud. I felt worthy. I realized the girl that once struggles with self-doubt had grown into a woman who could stand confidently on a global stage, representing her home with love and purpose.”

Celebrating Shiiannte Sterling

Shiiannte Sterling, the organisation’s first-ever representative for Miss Teen Mundial,
achieved a top 15 placement among approximately 35 contestants in El
Salvador. This marked only the second time in history that a Cayman delegate made the
semi-finals in an international competition of this type.

Shiiannte reflected on her historic achievement: “This journey carried me all the way to El Salvador, where I met incredible young women from around the world. The road was hectic, with storms and sunshine mixed, but every moment was worth it. Standing on that international stage, carrying the Cayman Islands on my back,
like a flag woven in my heart, sharing our pride, our culture, our dialect and placing top 15, I made history for the Cayman Islands – a feeling I will treasure forever!”

A fond farewell

Director Ebanks-Small expressed that while the decision to pause these franchises was
difficult, as the queens become like family, she looks forward to even more success from
Tracey and Shiiannte.

The organisation extends its gratitude to the Miss Supranational and Miss Teen Mundial
franchises for the opportunities provided to the Caymanian representatives.

“With the continued partnership of the Cayman Islands Government, Cayman Airways, our
sponsors … we promise that we will uphold the highest standards for our queen and for our country,” said Ebanks-Small.

More information regarding the next Miss World Cayman pageant will be released in early
2026.
