The Cayman office of international financial services firm PwC has been awarded two accountancy accolades.
The company won top spot as an ‘audit or tax advisory firm’ and PwC’s Ric Agrella won an individual award as top practitioner in the audit or tax advisory sector in the Captive Review Cayman awards.
Agrella, the company’s insurance leader, said it was the second year running PwC had come first in the audit or tax advisory firm category.
“While I may be biased, I truly believe we have the best team in Cayman, one that consistently delivers continuity of staff, unwavering commitment to deadlines, value-added insights and an innovative, tech-enabled approach to doing business,” he said.
Agrella added that the award was a testament to the work and dedication of the insurance and reinsurance staff in Cayman.
“We pride ourselves on being trusted advisors to our clients and this award reflects that commitment.
“Looking ahead, we remain focused on raising the bar even higher, continuing to innovate, invest in our people and deliver exceptional value to our clients and the Cayman community.”
Winners of the awards are picked by an independent panel of experts, chosen by UK-based industry magazine Captive Review, who are allocated to specific areas to avoid conflicts of interest.
Graeme Sunley, the PwC Cayman territory leader, said, “These awards reflect the strength of the Cayman Islands as a leading (re)insurance domicile and the commitment of our team to helping clients navigate complex audit, US tax and advisory needs within the captive insurance industry.”
