The alternative education programme Passport2Success will introduce a cohort for single mothers at 10am on Monday, 16 January, at the International College of the Cayman Islands campus in Newlands.
Those participating in the introduction ceremony will include Minister of Education Rolston Anglin and Chief Officer of the Education Ministry Mary Rodrigues, as well as new students to the programme.
Designed by Mr. Anglin, Passport2Success is a programme dedicated to turning around the lives of at-risk youth. The programme has garnered the attention of the United Nations Educational Scientific Organisation for its success rates and community advancement.
With more than 124 young people having graduated from Passport2Success through December 2011, the undertaking boasts a completion rate of 80 per cent, while 70 per cent of graduates are employed or furthering their education.
