To wrap up Child Month, families enjoyed a special fun day on the grounds of Pedro St. James Castle last month during the Discovery Day public holiday.
The Cayman Islands Department of Children and Family Services in conjunction with the Ministry of Community Affairs, Gender and Housing planned the day of activities to encourage families to reconnect and spend quality time together.
During the fun day, participants learned about the different services and resources available for the benefit of children.
The event also featured a sing-along musical performance by Bonafide, as well as a story-telling session with Virginia Foster Anglin and games.
This year’s theme “Educate, Motivate and Advocate For All Children” highlighted the importance of this concept.
