Murder charge sent to Grand Court

Brian Emmanuel Borden, 27, appeared in Summary Court on Monday charged with the murder of Robert Macford Bush, 28, in West Bay on the night of 13 September 2011. He is also accused of possessing an unlicensed firearm, a 12-gauge shotgun.

Borden, who is of a West Bay address, was arrested on 7 August.

Since murder is a charge that can be dealt with only in Grand Court, Magistrate Kirsty-Ann Gunn transferred the matter to the higher court, where Borden is scheduled to appear on Friday, 24 August..

He was represented by Attorney John Furniss.
