Golf scramble to storm the links

The St. Ignatius Golf Scramble is ready to tee off at the North Sound Golf Club.

The annual event, now in its fourth year, is two weeks away. It is scheduled for Friday, 22 March, with a 1pm shotgun start. The four-person scramble can accommodate up to 72 players from 18 teams and is open to the general public.

Those wishing to play should submit a registration form and $150 per player ($600 per team) as soon as possible. The entry fee includes a goody bag, cart rental and chances to win lots of prizes with a buffet meal and awards presentations on offer afterward. The big prize of the day is US$50,000 for a player who scores a hole-in-one at a selected par three, proudly sponsored by Grant Thornton.

There will also be competitions for closest to the pin, longest drive, putting champion and best-dressed team.

Registration/Sponsorship forms may be obtained from the St. Ignatius School or Church offices or on the website st-ignatius.com. Forms are also available at the North Sound pro shop. For further information or to request a registration form, please e-mail [email protected]
