Police arrested a suspect Thursday in connection with an armed robbery of an ATM customer in George Town.
A 28-year-old woman who had just withdrawn cash from Butterfield Bank’s ATM in Fort Street around noon was robbed at knife point.
Police said the man threatened the victim, grabbed her hand and then ran off with the cash. The woman sustained a small cut to her forearm where the suspect grabbed her, but did not require medical attention.
Officers arrested a suspect on suspicion of robbery around 2.45 p.m. in the Shedden Road area.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the robbery to come forward.
