My family and I have been fortunate enough to vacation on your island four times.
We absolutely love the island, people, culture and beauty.
We stay at the Cayman Reef Resort which is next to the restaurant/bar on the beach where many of the cruise ships send their passengers.
I can’t tell you how disappointed we were with all the trash the cruise ship passengers left on the beach every day.
We snorkeled in front of the condo and there was a lot of plastic cups and bottles in the ocean.
My daughters and I picked up as many as we could as we swam and walked the beach.
The workers at the restaurant did a great job of cleaning the area up daily but it makes me sick that it happens.
I also don’t understand why there isn’t a recycling facility on the island.
Please don’t misunderstand me, I have no idea how to govern an island.
However, as a huge fan of your island I’m hoping that the cruise ship companies and its passengers are held more responsible for the litter and long-term damage they cause to the island.
Looking forward to coming back.
