A man was arrested shortly after a jewelry store robbery Wednesday in Grand Cayman’s main tourist district.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service reported the robbery at Mitzi’s Fine Jewelry just before 1 p.m. Police said a man with a handgun was involved in the heist on West Bay Road, but no injuries were reported.
Officers located the suspect and a vehicle that may have been used in the robbery shortly after responding to the scene.
