Weather charts indicate that a broad area of low pressure over the southwest Caribbean is moving slowly towards the northwest, while the extensive area of cloudiness and showers associated with the system covers the Cayman area as well as portions of the central Caribbean.
The Cayman area can expect overcast rainy weather with light to moderate northeast winds during the next 24 hours. Weather models are forecasting some 2-3 inches of rainfall between this morning and tomorrow morning. Flooding of low lying areas is expected and residents of such areas should exercise caution.
