All I have to say is Leroy you will be truly missed.
The seven year rollover has been a topic of discussion for a while now, but this rollover I find to be the biggest oversight for this law I’ve seen yet.
To have someone so passionate and dedicated to the Caymanian culture and its tourism industry and have the Government send them packing proves this law is not working because this island has now lost one of its best workers by far and as you can see from this article $$$.
In this time of economic hardship we need to keep our Island tourism industry thriving with customer service excellence and the traditional Cayman warmth and welcome that this Island is know for and Leroy embodied that. It’s such a shame the committee could not see it. His farewell party was jam packed and the most common refrain from people speaking about his case was ‘I can’t believe it’.
No one would think that Leroy Jordan would get rolled over because in my eyes he was Caymanian ….a Caymanian at heart. We can’t wait to see him back on the island after being wrongfully displaced from his home for a year.
