Stabbing in East End

A man was hospitalised over the weekend following a stabbing in East End early Saturday.

At around 4.20am Saturday the 911 Emergency Communications Centre received a call from a resident of John Mclean Drive reporting that a man had come to their house looking for assistance.

The 31-year-old man had suffered a serious stab wound to the abdomen.

Police and medics were deployed. The man was taken to hospital and has undergone surgery. At press time, his condition was said to be critical.

Detectives from Bodden Town have launched an investigation and would like to hear from anyone who may have information about the incident. Anyone who can help should contact Bodden Town CID on 947-2220.

Officers are currently working to identify the location of the stabbing and would particularly like to hear from anyone who comes across blood or something similar that may suggest an incident has taken place.
