Road closures during Pirates Week

The Royal Cayman Islands Police
Service has posted notice of road closures this week to accommodate Pirates
Week events.

 

Thursday, 11 November 6-11pm road
closure to facilitate the steel pan competition in Harbour Drive:

Fort Street / North Church Street

Sheddon Road / Elgin Avenue

Friday, 12 November

The following roads/junctions will
be closed at 5.30pm in preparation for the fireworks display and street dance:

Harbour Drive / Fort Street
junction

Boilers Road / South Church Street
junction

Sheddon Road at Royal Bank

Goring Avenue / Harbour Drive
junction

Hard Rock / Harbour Drive junction

Cardinal Avenue/ Albert Panton
Street

All roads will reopen at 4am on
Saturday, 13 November.

 

 

Saturday, 13 November from 6-10am, road
closures to facilitate Remembrance Day Parade rehearsals:

Fort Street / North Church Street

Cardinal Avenue / Harbour Drive

 

These road/junction closures will go into effect at 11.30am on Saturday,
13 November, in preparation for the Pirates landing and street dance
:

Memorial and South Church Street

Boilers / Walkers Road

Goring Avenue / South Church Street

Fort Street / North Church Street

Mary Street / Fort Street

Sheddon Road / Mary Street

Dr Roys Drive / Edward Street

Elgin Avenue / Hospital Road

 

All roads will reopen at 2am on Sunday.

 

 

 Sunday, 14 November From 8am-noon, road closures for the Remembrance Day Parade:

Fort Street / North Church Street

Cardinal Avenue / Harbour Drive

 

In addition, Cardinal Avenue will
be closed from midnight Sunday, 14 November, until 9pm Monday, 15 November in
connection with George Town Heritage Day.
