Burger King roasted by Logic

The division one and three finals
of the Logic (WestTel) Five-a-Side football leagues wrapped up recently and
Burger King once again featured in an epic match. BK always get to the final
but have had mixed fortunes in recent seasons. They thought they would grill
Logic at the King’s Sports Centre but it was not to be. Logic (WestTel) won 4-3
with goals from Richard Grant (2), Lende Carter and Marlon Elwin. Burger King’s
scorers were Yannick Solomon, Ariel Tatum and Demion Williams.

The division three final was more
clear cut with the Heineken All-Stars thrashing PWC 7-1. Heineken scorers were
Nahun Rodriguez (4), Guy, Jumio Hurlston and an own goal. PWC’s Richard Pooley
got theirs.

Riyaz Nooruddin, PWC’s captain,
said: “We had a great season as a whole, going unbeaten for the first 11 games
and winning the league by some distance. To get so far and lose the play-off
final is disappointing, but we lost to a fit and skilful side who used their
substitutes well. Special mention should go to Rich Crozier, who was the top
scorer in the league and who scored against every opponent this season.”

CFP Buzz Crusaders are looking for
new players, ideally naturally left footed. Buzz were division three champions in
the summer and division two runners up in the playoff final last month, losing
to division one side Transformers.
