A musician who was run over by a vehicle while walking along Bodden Town Road in January has died from injuries suffered in that accident.
Glen Seymour, better known to residents of Grand Cayman as Pappa Sleepy, died Thursday night at a Jamaican hospital where he was airlifted for intensive care treatment in the weeks following the accident.
On Friday, the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service arrested a 38-year-old man suspected of causing Mr. Seymour’s death by dangerous driving. The man was initially arrested the day after the 4 January accident on suspicion of leaving the scene.
Mr. Seymour is the third person to die this year following an accident on Cayman Islands roads.
18-year-old Davado Romar McField and a 20-year-old man died in separate car crashes earlier this year.
Last year, 14 people were killed in traffic accidents on Cayman Islands roads.
