A four bedroom house on Hirst Rd. sustained serious damage in an early morning fire Friday, but residents there were able to escape without injury.
The Cayman Islands Fire Service extinguished the blaze about 10 minutes after arriving on the scene. It’s unclear what caused flames to break out around 12:30am.
‘The house was not completely destroyed, however it received major damage,’ said Chief Fire Officer Roy Grant.
