‘I have enjoyed Stuart’s monthly visit’, said Rod. ‘It has been a pleasure to show him the various aspects of the Dive and Watersports industry on Grand Cayman. I have always considered myself very fortunate to be able to make a career in an industry that began as a recreational sporting interest for me. Stuart is very passionate about his sailing and windsurfing and I hope similar opportunities open up for him in the future.

‘When he mentioned that he was going to enter in a very high profile windsurfing race, The Highland Spring HIHO offshore windsurfing race in the British Virgin Islands, Red sail Sports saw it as an ideal opportunity to assist in the cost of the trip with some uniform and cash sponsorship as part of our involvement with the Mentoring Cayman program. We saw this as an opportunity for him to promote the Cayman Islands at the same time’.

Stuart, a student of Triple C High School, has won many awards at the Cayman Islands Sailing Club, including The Gail Aiken award for youth sailor of the year, Youth Sailing National Champion in the Byte Cll class and will become a sailing instructor this summer.
